Put a smile on! $65,000 for Mental Health now available :)

Hello Funds Fans!  It’s your friendly, neighbourhood Bloggy Bloggerton leaping Calls for Proposals in a single bound.  Today, I have yet another eclectic selection of funds available.  Shall we begin?

The Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health has opened it’s annual Call for Applications!  Deadline: April 2nd, 2012Maximum Grant $65,000

Applications from registered charities are invited for funding for projects consistent with the Foundation’s objective to provide front-line support for those directly affected by mental illness.  Funding will be allocated to projects aimed at building front-line capacity to provide community-based support for those affected by mental illness or for those supporting them in a non-professional capacity (e.g., family, friends). Funding will not cover capital projects (i.e., “bricks and mortar”) but would include such activities as: hiring and/or training staff, enriching current services that improve understanding of and the ability to address challenges experienced by those suffering from mental illness and/or provide comfort and a sense of well-being to them and covering certain costs directly related to delivery of front-line programs (e.g., travel expenses, rental of facilities, communications activities).  Applicants will be notified, via email, of the outcome of their application by July 2012.

The McLean Foundation accepts Letters of Inquiry from Registered Charities year round and supports a variety of projects in the Arts, Conservation, Education, Health and Social Wellness.  Grants range from $1,500 to $35,000.

Computers for Schools BC provides quality refurbished computer equipment at no cost or low cost to schools, libraries, Community Access (CAP) sites and learning focused not-for-profit organizations across our province.  BC Schools, public and private, registered with the Ministry of Education are eligible to apply for equipment through the CFS program.  Not for Profit organization should have a mandate promoting learning or education. A registered charitable number is required.  There is no deadline for applications and shipping is free.

Investors Group is committed to supporting grassroots programs that benefit local communities directly and with immediacy. Recipient organizations fall within one of these general categories: arts & culture, civic causes, education & youth, environment, health, social services, amateur sport & recreation.  In addition to grant opportunities, funding is also available for community sponsorship events.  If funding relates to a specific event, your application should be submitted no later than 4 months prior to the event.  Applications are reviewed throughout the year.  Maximim Grant $5,000.
