Weekly Re-Cap for Busy Souls

It’s a great day to smile!

Happy Saturday, Funds Fans!  Don’t forget that tomorrow is Mother’s Day.  To spread the good cheer, why not send a card or some flowers to a Mom who, for whatever reason, isn’t likely to have a fuss made over her.  She might not be your own Mother, but perhaps something about her makes you thankful that she’s in your life or that she encouraged you or stood up for you at some time in your life.  It’s just something to consider as not every Mother has thankful, caring children…especially if the children are pre-teen or teenagers… God bless (pre)teenagers and a double blessing for their Mothers.

Since we’ve been busy slaying dragons lately and posts were becoming few and far between, I wanted to provide a re-cap of what we found for you over this past week.  Remember, if you can’t make use of these opportunities you probably know someone who can, so please share, share, share!

Earlier this week we featured Mountain Equipment Co-op as a feature funder.  This organization provides a wide range of grant opportunities in the areas of urban sustainability (waste, energy, consumption, or transportation), Capacity Building Grants, Research Grants, Advocacy & Education Grants, Access & Activity Grants as well as Land Acquisition Grants.  A very worthy source of funding.

We also received notice that the First Nations and Urban Aboriginal Early Childhood Development Steering Committee announced their 2012-2013 Call for Applications for Community Early Childhood Development Projects/Programs servicing BC First Nations, Urban Aboriginal and Métis children, zero to six years of age.

Another significant Call for Proposals has opened through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP).  This is a federal grants and contributions program that supports projects led or inspired by seniors who make a difference in the lives of others and their communities.

May 2012 Deadline Alerts were also posted, re-capping all the previously posted funding programs that have fast approaching deadlines.  Don’t miss these ones!

Also, for those of you interested in the mining activities going on or being considered with our beautiful Province, we posted on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) Participant Funding Program.

Enjoy, Share, Tweet & Re-Tweet!

And don’t forget to touch base with a Professional Writer for all your proposal and reporting requirements.
