More funds for Immigration and Settlement projects

Hello Funds Fans!  Between birthday party preparations and getting ready to host a garage sale, posts have been few and far between lately.  Today’s image is a tongue-in-cheek representation of what the heck I’ve been doing.  Nevertheless, I do have some great news for those of you involved in helping newcomers become settled into our beautiful country.

On August 1, 2012, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will issue the Call for Proposals (CFP) 2012 for projects that will be funded under the Department’s Settlement and Resettlement programs. The CFP is a competitive process to fund delivery of services to newcomers and for projects that are regional/local, national or international in scope.

Applications under the CFP 2012 will be accepted until September 7, 2012. Any applications received after that date will not be processed.

The following instruments and reference materials will be made available on August 1, 2012, at to help applicants prepare and submit their CFP 2012 Application for Funding Form properly.

Also on an immigration and settlement theme, we posted about the ALLIES program (supported in part by feature funder J.W. McConnell Family Foundation) which offers significant funding streams for the start-up and operation of employment service agencies for newcomers.  Please check them out!

There it is folks.  Please share and re-tweet and don’t forget to LIKE us on FaceBook and follow us on Twitter @fundsblogger!
