Booyah! Arts, Culture and Digital Media Funds

Booyah!Bonjour, Funds Fans!  Two more new funding sources for you today 🙂

Farm Credit Canada (FCC) has re-opened it’s Expression Fund in support of Canada’s official languages.  Grants range from $2,000 to $10,000.  Deadline: December 14th, 2012.

Communities where both official languages thrive are important features of our Canadian landscape. They’re strengthened by the people who choose to express themselves in French in communities where English is much more common, and vice versa.  The Expression Fund was developed to support Canada’s official languages and honour those communities where both languages thrive. This $50,000 funding envelope is intended for projects that contribute to the vitality of official language minority communities and help residents express the cultural and linguistic diversity of their area.   Sample projects include community improvements, such as community centres and daycares, theatrical productions, art galleries or concerts, to name just a few.

On another arts and culture front, the Arts Innovation Fund is accepting proposals.  This program is a partnership between BC Film + Media and the BC Arts Council. The program is intended to encourage arts and culture organizations to collaborate with digital media creators to engage audiences in new and innovative ways. The applicant must be a BC based not for profit arts or cultural organization that is receiving support through the BC Arts Council.  Maximum grant up to $25,000.  Deadline: November 30th, 2012.

There you have it, folks!
