MORE CASH – Deadline Update for February 2013

This is Johnny CashThat’s right, folks – more cash!  When I posted the February Deadline Alert last week, I thought the list seemed a bit short.  My apologies for missing these ones on the list.

February 7th, 2013 (LOI due) Catherine Donnelly Foundation  invites LOI’s from applicants seeking funding in the area of adult education, environment and housing.

February 8th, 2013  RBC Community Action Grants: These grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, and are awarded to local or community-based organizations in Canada, the United States or the Caribbean.  This fund supports initiatives that help protect and preserve water in towns, cities and urbanized areas with populations of more than 10,000 people that focus on: Improved control and management of urban storm or rain water; Efficient and innovative use (or capture and reuse) of water in towns and cities; Protection and restoration of urban waterways; and Improved urban water quality.

February 15th, 2013 Canucks for Kids Fund dedicates resources to charities that support children’s health and wellness, foster the development of grassroots hockey, and facilitate and encourage education in British Columbia. Maximum Grant: up to $25,000 + (estimate).

February 15th, 2013 (LOI due)  The Law Foundation of British Columbia  Large Projects funding of up to $75,000 is available for one-time projects.  A project grant application must be submitted by a non-profit organization and must fall within one or more of the Foundation’s five mandated areas which are: legal education, legal research, legal aid, law reform and law libraries for the benefit of British Columbians.

February 15th, 2013 Multiculturalism grants are offered by the Minister of State for Multiculturalism and are administered by the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch. These grants are separate from community gaming grants. Eligible organizations may apply in both of the multiculturalism grant sectors and may also apply for a community gaming grant — all in the same year. Eligibility for Multiculturalism Grants includes Non-profit societies and community-based organizations (including ad hoc committees, coalitions, umbrella organizations, associations and centres) that reflect Aboriginal or ethno-cultural communities. Maximum Grant: $5,000 under the Cultural Expression Sector and Capacity Building Sector. Final notification by March 31st, 2013.

February 22nd, 2013 (LOI due) Vancouver Foundation Youth Philanthropy and Generation Green grants. Grant ranges vary.

February 28th 2013 Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation, providing funding to stimulate and invigorate non-profit organizations in the cultural and creative arts and the social services throughout British Columbia.  Grants of between $5,000 and $15,000 to organizations; and between $5,000 and $10,000 to individuals. Formal applications in the following areas will be considered: Cultural and Creative Arts, Social Services.
