NOW OPEN: $3,000 to $20,000+ for sustainable land use practices

Sustainability grantsHullo Funds Fans!  There’s more money coming your way today.

The Real Estate Foundation of BC supports real estate and land use practices that contribute to resilient, healthy communities and natural systems. They provide grants and information to non-profit organizations working to enable transformational change in BC communities.

The Foundation’s mission is “to transform land use attitudes and practices through innovation, stewardship, and learning.” In order to effectively address this broad mandate and the immense scope of real estate and land use in BC, the Real Estate Foundation must be strategic in its grant making. They focus their granting in specific ways (principles, guidelines, subject matter) to help make effective investments in the work of non-profits. For the Real Estate Foundation, the most effective grants support progressive projects that lead to on-the-ground change.

Eligible applicants must be a non-profit organization, including charitable societies, local governments, professional associations, and other groups which are legally “non-profit”.  The subject matter focus areas for the grants program are:

  • Built Environment
  • Fresh Water Sustainability
  • Sustainable Food Systems

Grant Application Deadlines for 2013 are as follows:

June 28 – for Small Grant requests of $20,000 or less ONLY (Sept decision)
