Celebrate Sports Day in Canada!

Good day, eh!  For all sporty Funds Fans across B.C., here’s a little grant opportunity to help with bringing a new sport to your community or group.  B.C. “Try-It Days” grant is an opportunity to help get your community, club, or organization involved by being a part of one of the thousand local events taking place in the week leading up to Sports Day in Canada on November 30th. Host a B.C. Try-It Days event to provide people in your community an opportunity to experience a new sport, and your organization could be eligible for a Try-It Days grant this year.   Funding is available up to a maximum of $300 per event.  Deadline:  October 14th, 2013.

Applications may be submitted, individually or in partnership, by:

  • Community, not-for-profit organizations and associations that directly deliver organized sport programs in their community
  • Municipalities
  • Aboriginal bands and community associations
  • Multi-Sport Service Organizations
  • Provincial Sport Organizations
