Health Funding!

Health FundingHello Funds Fans!  It’s a great day for those of you in the healthcare field 🙂  Funding AND scholarships!!

The Cardinal Health Foundation is seeking proposals from healthcare institutions that will impact the efficiency and quality of care. Grants between $7,500 and $35,000 will be awarded to approximately 25 organizations in 2014.  Deadline: December 6th, 2013.  Focus areas include: Medication safety across transitions of care from the acute setting to the community/home; Operating room efficiency testing the AORN protocol to assess risk and implement changes to reduce pressure ulcers in the operating room; Implementing protocols to improve infant outcomes for babies born addicted to opiates.

McKesson Canada  believes that it is their responsibility to help the most vulnerable and at-risk members of the communities in which they operate. Each year, the McKesson Foundation’s Regional Grants Program makes it possible for many Canadian non-profit charities to improve the status of children and youth in the areas of health and education.  McKesson Canada encourages the submission of grant applications for one-time specific projects or programs on an annual basis.  Grants range from $2,500 to $25,000.  Deadline: November 1st, 2013. 

Due November 1st.  Indspire Aboriginal Health Careers and Post Secondary Education Scholarships.   Indspire, formerly the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation, has evolved into the largest non-governmental funding body for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis post secondary students across Canada. Bursary and scholarship awards are provided to First Nation, Inuit, and Métis students annually across a diverse range of disciplines.
