New Calls for Proposals now open :)

Canadian moneyHello, Funds Fans!  It’s a busy time of year but I haven’t forgotten about you 🙂  Look, these just in!!

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) has issued a call for proposals under its 2014-15 Contributions Program for project proposals aimed at promoting privacy and the protection of personal information in the private sector.  As in previous years, the Office is inviting proposals that focus on its four strategic priority areas:

  • identity integrity and privacy;
  • information technology and privacy;
  • genetic information and privacy; and
  • public safety and privacy.

The Office will also consider proposals in other areas related to privacy and protection of personal information in the private sector. All research proposals must address issues that fall within the scope of the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).  Grants range from $50,000 to $100,000.  Deadline: January 6th, 2014.

Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) is accepting proposals for eligible activities described in the National Program Guidelines for the Education Partnerships Program (EPP) and the First Nation Student Success Program (FNSSP).   This 2014-2015 Call for Proposals will prioritize proposals which address the Structural Readiness component found in both the EPP and the FNSSP National Program Guidelines. This will allow First Nation education organizations to strengthen their organizational capacity for the delivery of educational services to First Nation schools.  Deadline: Midnight on January 15th, 2014.
