Deadline Alert: $10,000 to $40,000 for violence prevention in B.C.

Deadline Alert!Funds Fans, this is an important fund for violence prevention in B.C.  The deadline is in four days!  Dust off those proposals and get them in there!!

NOW OPEN: B.C. Ministry of Justice Grants from Civil Forfeiture Proceeds.  Applications for one-time grant funding are now available.  Deadline: January 14, 2015.  Grants range from $10,000 – $40,000.

School-based Prevention Programsup to $20,000 (per school) is now available to fund school-based prevention programs that address healthy and respectful relationships. Priority will be given to initiatives that raise awareness of the root causes and impacts of violence, as well as shifting attitudes and behaviours to prevent violence against women.

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Human Trafficking of Vulnerable Girls and Women – up to $20,000 (per project) is now available to prevent the sexual exploitation and/or human trafficking of vulnerable girls and women that are most at-risk.

Innovative Partnerships for Responding to Violence Against Women – up to $30,000 (per project) is now available to fund innovative partnerships that improve the coordination of service delivery when responding to violence against women.

Healing and Rebuilding After Violence Against Aboriginal Women – up to $20,000 (per project) is now available to support initiatives/projects that use holistic approaches in Aboriginal communities to assist victims and/or communities in healing/rebuilding from the impacts of violence against women.

Training and Education for Front-line Service Providers Responding to Violence Against Women – up to $10,000 (for community projects) and $40,000 (for provincial projects) is now available to support training and education for front line services providers that work with women who have been or are currently at risk of experiencing violence.

Serving Victims Through Restorative Justice – up to $20,000 (per community project) and up to $40,000 (per provincial project) is now available to support projects that enhance services  to better meet the needs of victims involved in restorative justice approaches in BC.

Community and/or Youth Crime Prevention – up to $20,000 (per project) is now available to fund local crime prevention projects as well as projects that prevent youth involvement in crime across British Columbia.
