More violence prevention funds!

NOW OPEN: Canadian Women’s Foundation: 2015 Annual Violence Prevention Grants.  Approximately 40 grants up to a maximum of $25,000 each will be selected under four main themes.  If your organization and work fits the selection criteria, you may apply for additional funding of up to $3,000 to assist with access costs.  Deadline: February 2nd, 2015.

Please note that if you have already received funding for the same project for THREE years, you may NOT reapply for the same project. If in doubt, please contact them to verify.  

  1. Prevention Work Involving Teens and/or Girls: Prevent violence against women and girls in Canada through work involving girls, or teens (girls and boys age 11 to 19)
  2. Rebuilding Lives: Support women’s organizations and programs in Canada to help women and children rebuild their lives after the crisis of experiencing violence
  3. Loan Funds: Provide interest-free loan funds to women who have experienced domestic violence to aid them in becoming financially independent
  4. Collaborative Projects: Support groups working together in a region, province, and territory or nationally to share resources, to build capacity, to advocate or to support women survivors’ participation or leadership in policy issues.
