June 1st, 2015.  Breakfast for Learning (BFL) is committed to helping start and sustain child nutrition programs, ensuring that students are well nourished and ready to learn.

June 1st, 2015. Grants from $25,000 to $50,000 (estimate). Established by the Roger Williams Park Zoo and the Rhode Island Zoological Society in 1989, the Sophie Danforth Conservation Biology Fund (SDCBF) supports conservation programs that protect threatened wildlife and habitats worldwide.

June 5th, 2015 ViaSport Local Sport Program Development: The Local Sport Program Development Fund makes community sport more accessible to people of all abilities by providing funding to sport programs delivered by local sport organizations, municipalities and Aboriginal communities. Eligible applicants are invited to apply for funding of up to $2,000 for new and expanded programs that directly lead to new sport participation opportunities in their communities.

June 5th, 2015.  ViaSport Girls Only:  The Girls Only grant category was developed to provide opportunities for girls and women in all regions of BC to participate in sport and integrate regular activity into their lives. Organizations can apply for the Girls Only grant to support the development and delivery of sport programs that benefit girls and women of all ages.  Maximum grant: $2,000. 

June 5th, 2015. ViaSport Forever Active Bodies (FAB) 55+:  The FAB 55+ grant was developed to provide opportunities specific to women aged 55 and older in all regions of BC to help target an audience that does not receive the same level of opportunity and access to sport that their younger counterparts now have.  FAB 55+ provides funding for programs specifically geared towards getting senior women active and participating in sport programming that overcomes barriers and stigmas surrounding women in sport.  Maximum grant: $2,000.

June 9th, 2015 ViaSport Hosting BC:   The Province of BC through the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development invests in event hosting and the Hosting BC program to facilitate sport, economic, and community development. Eligible applicants are invited to apply for Hosting BC funding of up to $35,000 depending on the type of event.  Note: For events taking place between July 1, 2015 and October 1, 2016.

June 9th, 2015.  The Minerva Education Awards support women from a variety of backgrounds achieve their dreams of furthering their education in schools and programs throughout BC.   For all Education Awards, preference is given to women who meet one or more of the following: Single mothers, immigrant women, Aboriginal women, and women with disabilities obtaining further education; Mature women who want to upgrade their skills when returning to the workforce after an absence; Women in non-traditional fields of study.

June 10th, 2015.  The Language Revitalization Planning Program is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 program year. The Language Revitalization Planning Program supports communities that share the same language to collaboratively develop strategic language plans.

June 12th, 2015. The Children’s Prize is an open web-based competition focused on under-five child survival with eligibility extending to everyone, individuals and organizations, across the world. Through our entrepreneurial and scientific approaches we are ensuring that more children under the age of five survive and thrive.  The 2015 Children’s Prize seeks the best and most effective project that proposes to save the greatest number of children’s lives. June 15th, 2015. BC Arts Council The Early Career Development Program will help bridge the gap for emerging and early career arts practitioners, supporting their career development and ability to work as artists and arts and culture workers. The program will support early career practitioners to develop their practice while building their portfolio, professional exposure and/or career experience through co-op placement, internship, residency, and mentorship opportunities.

June 17th, 2015.  Up to $250,000 – $500,000.  As of May 19th, 2015, Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) is accepting applications for the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.  This funding is intended to rehabilitate, renovate and expand existing public infrastructure for community use. In Western Canada, strong preference will be given to projects that are undertaking meaningful upgrades to existing cultural and community facilities, including, but not limited to, community centres, libraries and recreational facilities.

June 25th, 2015. Up to $10,000.  For non-profit organizations in B.C.,  the enp program supports planning and/or research activities along the entire development path from opportunity identification and organizational readiness activities (in-kind up to $5000) to feasibility studies, marketing plans or business plans or any portion of these activities (up to $10,000).
